NEW YORK — Are you ready to Watch the Throne again? With Jay-Z and Kanye West still riding high off the success of their summer masterpiece, the duo just may get back in the studio and give fans another dose, Hov revealed to MTV News.

“It depends on how this thing finishes up,” Jay said in reference to his and Kanye’s current Watch the Throne Tour. “We — I say ‘we’ because I’m in Throne mode — we’re in a great place creatively. You might see a Jay, then Kanye and a Throne album next year. You know, we’re really in a great place creatively. We really found our zone.”

Back in July, during an intimate listening session for the then-unreleased WTT, Jay revealed to a room of reporters that he had two songs already recorded for his yet-untitled 11th solo album but hasn’t talked about it very much since.

NOTEABLE READ: Fred Hampton Jr. Responds to Jay-Z Lyrics In -Murder Of Excellence-

with 3 comments

“I arrived the same day Fred Hampton died.”

The above line is said by Jay-Z on the song “Murder To Excellence” off Watch The Throne.  The line is meant to pay homage to the fallen leader of the Black Panther Party who was killed on December 4, 1969 when Chicago police and FBI agents stormed into his apartment and opened fire on a sleeping Fred Hampton.  Jay-Z was born on the exact same day, leading Jay to make the statement above on Watch The Throne, alluding to how he was given life on the same day it was taken from Hampton, as the line ends “real n***as just multiply.”

During a film screening of “The Black Power Mixtape: 1967-1975” and panel at University of Chicago on Saturday, Fred Hampton Jr. shared his feelings on the song lyric and Jay-Z.  Speaking to a crowd at the University’s International House, Hampton voiced his displeasure with the lyric, saying that Jay-Z has twisted that truth.  “Fred Hampton didn’t die,” Hampton Jr. said.  “He was assassinated.  Saying Fred Hampton died is like…

“Kanye reached out to me and I said, ‘Of course,’ ” Ferrell wrote. “I was completely flattered when they asked if they could sample me into the song … and when I heard it for the first time, I just started to laugh because it felt so surreal. But I really did like the song.”So much so, in fact, that Ferrell said he’s hoping to take the Throne collaboration to the next level — “We were trying to film a piece that they would use on the video boards of their concert, but haven’t gotten it together,” he wrote — and the whole process has…
